Final Recital Update and Summer/Early Renewal Savings!

Wednesday, May 9, 2018 by Ron Ferlito | Uncategorized

Hello Folks! The 2018 Spring Recitals are about to happen over the upcoming two weekends!!  Be sure to take a moment now to do 4 simple things that will keep you informed and prepared;

1) DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TIME!

Attached you will find a copy of the printed program that will be distributed to each guest at the events.  Please double check this list to confirm I have you listed with correct program time and spelling.  Then be sure to inform me of any changes there may be via text, at your lesson, or by replying to this email.

2) SPREAD THE WORD!

Below are links to the invitations/announcements I have posted on my Facebook business page that you can use to Re-post on your own social media or even send directly to family and friends anywhere in the world so they can attend or view the specific program you will be participating in. Let’s share the great accomplishments of all our students with everyone!  Just click on the appropriate link below for all the detail, then hit the share button in the announcement for options both within Facebook, any other social media, or through text and email.  It’s quick, simple, and communicates well!

Program 1 - Saturday May 12th at 11:00 AM

Program 2 - Saturday May 12th at  2:00 PM

Program 3 - Saturday May 19th at 1:00 PM

3) SHOW UP EXPECTING A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!

Unlike previously announced, each program WILL be immediately followed by a reception at the event location. This INCLUDES PROGRAM 3 ON THE 19TH!! Feel free to bring any snacks or desserts to share with others.  You are not obligated to bring anything, but if you would like to, a representative from the host church will greet you at the door and direct you where to place your dish. RFM will also be providing a sandwich tray and drinks. There will be t-shirts, music tote bags and other products available for sale and as prizes.

All 3 programs will once again be held at West Valley Freewill Baptist Church 19956 W McDowell Rd, Buckeye, AZ 85396    Click here for Google map link

All 3 programs will once again be Broadcast live and available for viewing later on my Facebook business page:   www.facebook.com/ronferlitomusic/

You will also each receive a reminder text the day before your scheduled event with program time, address and map link. It will also include your specific program invitation and video links to easily share with friends and family. Please arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes early so students can be prepared and be sure to remember any needed sheet music!

4) PREPARE FOR SUMMER AND NEXT SCHOOL YEAR NOW AND SAVE!

With all the excitement and focus on the upcoming recitals it’s easy for future plans concerning lessons to get lost in the shuffle. But if you act quickly you can lock in great savings over the normal semester renewal rate of 10% off regular prices and also pick up a few free lessons to help you or your student “keep it warm” over the summer months for a head start next school year. Since most semester plans expire at the end of this month, like in previous years I will offer you even greater value to renew for next school year early. And these 3 options are available to anyone, even if you are currently on a monthly plan or your renewal date is not until later. You can even pause your plan for the summer and restart later, but whatever you do - Act fast for the best savings!

BEST: Renew By MAY 15TH - Receive 20% off and 2 summer bonus lessons

PRETTY GOOD: Renew By JUNE 15TH - Receive 20% off and 1 summer bonus lesson

NOT BAD: Renew By JULY 15TH - Receive 15% off

The fine print: After July 15Th all semester renewals revert back to the regular price of 10% off the monthly price. All summer bonus lessons must be used during June, July or August only. Expired makeup lessons since January 1st 2018 must be used  in June or July only. After July 31st all remaining makeup lessons more than 2 months old will expire. Makeup and bonus lessons may be used to delay the start date of your early renewal semester or pause an existing semester. Contact me directly for any questions and to set up flexible summer lesson scheduling. All semester plans with upcoming expiration dates will receive invoices customized with best renewal option available and remaining makeup lessons indicated. Invoices will be modified to lesser discount package as each cutoff date is reached if at least half of each invoice is not paid by the promotional renewal date. As always, payment can be made online or at lessons with any debit or credit card, but for promotional pricing, in-person payment by check or cash is preferred to avoid processing fees if possible. Thanks.

Spring Recital Coming Up Saturday May 12Th and 19th!

Tuesday, April 10, 2018 by Ron Ferlito | Uncategorized

Hello Folks!
It's that time again when we will come together and share what we have been doing and learning through RFM with others in a grand recital! It will be a fun, rewarding event and everyone is encouraged to participate!

CHOOSE YOUR TIME!

Due to popular demand, response to your feedback, and for your convenience, this time THERE WILL BE THREE PROGRAMS instead of only two! This means each program will be shorter and you will have greater flexibility to fit your busy schedules. They will also be scheduled with more time between each program and earlier in the day.  In addition, the third program will take place THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND - May 19th- in order to accommodate the scheduling for more families!

 Program 1 - 11AM May 12         Program 2 - 2PM May 12      Program 3 - 1PM May 19

BE SURE TO SELECT YOUR PREFERRED TIME AND LET ME KNOW YOUR CHOICE!

Please reply to this email, text or call at 623-466-3197, or let me know at the next lesson. I will not be using e-vite this time so consider this your official invitation!

Also be sure to let me know how many guests you expect to bring (the more the merrier!) and if you will also be bringing a snack, dessert or other food for the reception before and after each program on the 12th (there will be no reception on the 19th). RFM will provide pizza and/or sandwiches, etc. this time so it will not be just sweets.

PLEASE STAY - IT WILL BE A GREAT SHOW!

With the shortened program schedule, it will make it easier for everyone to stay and enjoy the entire program your child is performing in, even if they are one of the first performers. Of course if you have a circumstance beyond your control (work schedule, important family obligation, etc.) that requires you to leave early please inform me ahead of time of your early departure and just slip out quietly if you must. Otherwise, be sure to stay to the end in order to be eligible for prizes and also see some of the more advanced students perform!

LIVE VIDEO BROADCAST

Once again the entire program will be broadcast live. If you can not attend you may watch it as it happens, send the link to family and friends around the world so they can view it, and watch later because the performance will remain posted on my Facebook business page. You do not need to log into Facebook, have a Facebook account, or be "friends" with me on Facebook to view this, although you may want to "Like" my page while you are there to receive further updates and other information. Here is the link:

Feel free to share this with anyone on your own social media and elsewhere.

BE READY!

Make sure each student has any music or books they will need, has warmed up and practiced earlier that day before coming to the event, and is dressed sharp and excited about putting their best performance out there! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the program you are participating in so the students will have time to get accustomed to the stage and find their seats in the front.

I WILL SEE YOU THERE!

The program will once again be held West Valley Freewill Baptist Church

19956 W McDowell Rd, Buckeye, AZ 85396

2017 Holiday Recital Review

Wednesday, December 20, 2017 by Ron Ferlito | RFM Studio News!

 Hello parents, students and volunteers!

I want to thank all of you for helping to make the recital programs this past Saturday such a wonderful event!  Everyone performed beautifully and as always I was amazed at how hard everyone worked to do their very best. The collective advancement of everyone in their musical education and experience concentrated into a single day is staggering!

Always Looking Ahead

As everyone takes a well deserved break from music lessons this week to focus on family, friends, and preparations for the big holiday season, I am already looking forward to the next recital scheduled for the Saturday before Mother’s Day - May 12, 2018. There may also be an additional program added the Friday evening before, on May 11. (More details concerning that below).

Just as the military conducts an “AFR” (After Action Report), it is beneficial to assess what went well and what areas can be improved upon after an event like this. There are three primary aspects of the next recital we are already considering making adjustments to in order to continually upgrade the experience: scheduling adjustments, technical improvements, and the possible addition of a grand piano. I will address all three of these areas

Scheduling Adjustments

First, now that the time restrictions we had to comply with at our previous recital location are no longer a factor, we will be starting both programs earlier in the day with a larger gap of time between them.  The two Saturday programs will start at 11AM and 2PM. This means there will be less chance of the earlier program delaying the start of the later one and it will also give all guests more time to attend other evening functions after the recital. This will be especially helpful for my East Valley remote students who have a long car ride after the event.

Technical Considerations

The second area of improvement will be a greatly simplified and thus much smoother sound and technical setup. Without getting too nerdy in this discussion, I will just say that even if we continue to use the same electronic keyboard in the next recital, it will not be piped through the large church sound system but only heard through its own speakers and my small stage monitor as we had it configured for the 3 PM program Saturday. This will avoid the potential for unwanted heavy bass sounds and an increased unnatural playing experience for the participants like we had in the earlier program. I will also use simplified microphone, mixing, and video configurations in order to facilitate smoother transitions and better pacing. In addition, we inadvertently sent the live video feed to my personal Facebook page instead of my business page where the links were pointing. This has never happened before, will not happen again, and has been corrected so that the recordings of both programs from Saturday are now posted on the business page where all the links have been directing everyone for weeks

Grand Piano Possibilities

Lastly, we are considering providing an acoustic grand piano for all or some of the future programs, which will create additional expense to either have one brought to our current facility for the day, or to rent a different facility that already has a grand piano. Either option would add significantly to the cost of the programs which would have to be offset by either an admission charge for all or some guests (as most Music studios do), or a participation surcharge only for those choosing the grand piano option.

By adding an additional program at a location with a grand piano, it could also solve the problem of our ever expanding size (and length of each program) by creating a third event at a different location (perhaps closer to our East Valkey Participants) for those wanting the grand piano experience. In order to help us how to decide to better serve you, please take a moment to complete the brief survey included in the “save the date” e-vite invitation just sent to your emails. There is also a link to the invitation and survey provided for your convenience below (the survey is located just below the first page on the invitation with the red RFM logo. Just scroll down past the host message).
Thank you again for all your interest and enthusiastic support. It is such a pleasure and honor to be able to serve you! I will see you all soon, and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Holiday Season!
